Asset Management Assistant

About the role

Murkez Technologies is looking for a detail‑oriented Asset Management Assistant to support lease administration, insurance, and facilities coordination across its multi‑brand restaurant portfolio. The role ensures deadlines are tracked, records are accurate, and communication with landlords, vendors, and internal teams is professional and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Track and manage deadlines for lease options, insurance renewals, inspections and other recurring dates.
• Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for leases, franchise agreements and vendor contracts.
• Read leases and contracts to extract key terms such as rent, renewal options, responsibilities and insurance requirements.
• Build and maintain tracking spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, sorting/filtering and multi‑tab workbooks.
• Prepare reports from spreadsheet data, such as rent comparisons and lease expiration lists.
• Draft clear letters and emails (option letters, renewal notices, landlord requests) and communicate directly with landlords, property managers, vendors and lenders.
• Liaise with internal teams – Legal, Development, Operations and Accounting – and coordinate facilities or maintenance issues.
• Handle basic insurance administration, track certificates of insurance and support property tax documentation.
• Prioritize competing, time‑sensitive requests, work independently and maintain confidentiality of financial and legal information.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate or a related field (preferred).
• Prior experience in commercial real estate, property management or lease administration (strongly preferred).
• Strong command of written and spoken English.
• Excellent attention to detail, organization and time‑management skills.
• Familiarity with lease terminology (CAM, SNDA, estoppel, percentage rent, TI allowance, lease abstract) is a plus.
• Experience in the restaurant, franchise or multi‑unit retail industry is a plus.
