Assistant Accountant (Full‑time, Islamabad)

About the role

Edge Accountants is seeking a motivated Assistant Accountant to join its Islamabad office. You will support the UK practice by handling year‑end accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, payroll and tax filings for a diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare year‑end accounts and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Compile and submit VAT returns, payroll, corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Communicate with clients to obtain missing information and ensure compliance.
• Maintain proper working papers and assist senior accountants in managing UK client portfolios.

Required profile

• ACC​A part‑qualified, ACC​A finalist or holder of a relevant accounting qualification.
• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice is preferred.
• Strong written and spoken English with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Double‑entry bookkeeping.
• Proficiency with Xero, QuickBooks or Sage accounting software.

• Competitive salary ranging from PKR 75,000 to PKR 100,000 per month (based on experience).
