Assistant Accountant

About the role

JAMHEX Company Pvt Ltd is looking for a diligent Assistant Accountant to support the finance team in day‑to‑day accounting operations and ensure accurate financial records.

Key responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and supplier communication.
• Perform regular bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and assist with month‑end close procedures.
• Prepare supporting schedules for audits and financial reviews.
• Assist with basic payroll preparation and related documentation.
• Apply inventory and cost accounting principles for manufacturing/chemical environments.
• Utilise accounting software (QuickBooks, Tally, Sage or similar) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely financial operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Tally, or Sage.
• Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and basic formulas.
• Solid understanding of double‑entry bookkeeping, ledger maintenance, and month‑end close.
• Experience with bank and supplier reconciliations, AP/AR workflows.
• Familiarity with payroll basics and statutory deductions.
• Knowledge of inventory and cost accounting, preferably in manufacturing or chemical sectors.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and Urdu.
