Assistant Director – Security Architect & Administration

About the role

The Assistant Director – Security Architect & Administration will lead the design, implementation, and management of the organization’s security architecture and infrastructure. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure high availability, robust protection, and alignment of security initiatives with business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Define and drive the vision and roadmap for infrastructure availability and IT security.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align infrastructure strategy with business goals.
• Ensure high availability and performance of services through proactive monitoring, automation, and SLA adherence.
• Implement incident response plans, conduct post‑incident analysis, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Lead security hardening activities, establish baselines, and manage enterprise patch management.
• Manage the organization’s PKI, assess encryption ciphers, and upgrade cryptographic solutions.
• Oversee security technologies such as SIEM, EDR, SOAR, IDPS, PAM, DLP, and encryption/authentication solutions.
• Design, deploy, and configure Web Application Firewalls (WAF) and monitor web traffic security.
• Stay current with emerging threats and integrate threat intelligence into security controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 16 years of education in Information Security, IT, Computer Science, or related discipline from an HEC‑recognized university.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Infrastructure Administrator, Solutions Architect, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of network and system architecture, server operating systems, and Active Directory.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, CCNP Security, or CCIE Security.
• Proven ability to work within cybersecurity teams and manage specialized technologies.

Required skills

• Security tools: SIEM, EDR, SOAR, DLP, Veeam/Veritas Backup and Disaster Recovery.
• Server operating systems and Active Directory administration.
• Shell scripting: PowerShell and Bash.
• Cloud security, identity and access management (IAM), network security, and data security.
• Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) management and encryption technologies.
• Web Application Firewall (WAF) design and deployment, IDPS, PAM.
