Assistant Manager Audit & Monitoring

About the role

The Assistant Manager Audit & Monitoring will oversee compliance reviews, grant utilization, and internal controls for Akhuwat Institute Kasur under the Grant Agreement.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct monthly compliance reviews covering finance, payroll, HR, procurement, admin, ERP and IT.
• Verify grant utilization against charter purposes, approved budget and budget vs actual expense.
• Ensure Endowment Fund principal is preserved and invested only in approved Shariah‑compliant instruments.
• Review quarterly fee claims and student files, as well as monthly and annual reports, management accounts and statutory compliance.
• Test key controls such as bank reconciliations, segregation of duties, withholding tax, signatories and ERP user rights.
• Issue risk‑rated reports with recommendations and follow up until closure.
• Coordinate independent audits of grant expenditure and liaise with the Treasurer/CFO.
• Ensure compliance with checklists and report any deficiencies.

Required profile

• CA Inter with articles completed from a QCR‑rated firm.
• Minimum 2 years experience in internal/external audit, compliance or grant monitoring; education sector exposure preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems, preferably MS Dynamics 365, and strong MS Excel skills.
• Good communication and report writing abilities.
