Assistant Manager Business Finance (Budgeting & Reporting)

About the role

The Assistant Manager Business Finance will support the finance team by preparing and monitoring budgets, producing analytical reports and ensuring compliance with financial mandates. The role acts as a finance business partner, providing insight for decision‑making and driving process improvements across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor annual O&M budgets, aligning them with investment plans, regulatory requirements and NEPRA approvals.
• Collect budget inputs from cross‑functional teams, maintain WBS structures in SAP and ensure data integrity.
• Develop budget reports and presentations for management, the Board and investors.
• Conduct variance analysis, reconcile actual expenses with budgeted amounts and produce monthly performance reports.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, utilization reports and monthly O&M commitments.
• Generate plant‑wise P&L statements, allocate central costs and perform revenue‑cost reconciliations.
• Support user departments with financial analysis, guidance and compliance checks.

Required profile

• ACMA, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in budgeting, financial reporting or related finance functions.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work with cross‑functional teams.
• Demonstrated integrity, adaptability and strategic decision‑making.
