Assistant Manager CAD

About the role

The Assistant Manager CAD will develop and maintain accurate 3D CAD models, engineering drawings and parts catalogues for tractor components. The role supports product development, design optimisation and failure analysis, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and effective design change management.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D CAD models and engineering drawings for tractor components in line with design specifications.
• Maintain a structured archive of drawings, including revisions, design changes and issuance dates for proper document control.
• Conduct design simulations and failure mode analysis using CREO to assess component performance and identify potential issues.
• Analyse simulation results and recommend design improvements and optimized solutions for critical tractor parts.
• Develop and regularly update parts catalogues based on the latest 3D drawings and engineering specifications.
• Ensure updated drawings and technical data are accurately shared with end‑users and relevant stakeholders.
• Implement CAD software tools and modules, including CREO, to improve design capabilities and engineering efficiency.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing and other stakeholders to support design changes and resolve design‑related issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, DAE or B.Tech from an HEC‑recognised institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawings using CREO or Pro‑E.
• Working knowledge of ANSYS and other engineering simulation tools.
• Understanding of design optimisation, failure analysis and GD&T.
• Strong technical problem‑solving and analytical abilities.
