Assistant Manager – Compliance & Governance

About the role

EFU Life Assurance Ltd. is seeking a diligent Assistant Manager to support its Company Secretary in ensuring full compliance with corporate, statutory, and regulatory obligations. The role is remote and focuses on secretarial audits, governance reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Company Secretary with all statutory filings and regulatory submissions.
• Conduct secretarial audits to verify adherence to corporate governance policies.
• Monitor legislative changes and advise management on compliance implications.
• Maintain accurate legal records, including board resolutions, minutes, and registers.
• Coordinate information gathering across departments for compliance reporting.
• Prepare agendas, minutes, and follow‑up actions for board meetings.
• Produce compliance status reports and presentations for senior management and regulators.
• Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance compliance efficiency.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience in compliance, corporate governance, or secretarial functions.
• Strong understanding of statutory obligations and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
