Assistant Manager, Electric Welder & Molder – Contract Positions

About the role

Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works Limited is seeking qualified professionals for three contract positions: Assistant Manager (Technical) – Mechanical, Electric Welder, and Molder. The roles are based at the shipyard’s facilities in Karachi and involve supporting production, maintenance and foundry operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assistant Manager: oversee technical projects, manage die and pattern making, ensure compliance with ISO standards, and coordinate with engineering teams.
• Electric Welder: perform welding tasks in a foundry environment, maintain welding equipment, and follow safety procedures.
• Molder: execute molding activities, operate molding equipment, ensure quality of castings, and support the foundry workflow.

Required profile

• Assistant Manager – BE or DAE in Mechanical Engineering, minimum 8 years relevant experience, knowledge of project management tools, die/pattern making, proficient in MS Office, age up to 45.
• Electric Welder – Matriculation or Welding Trade Certificate, minimum 3 years welding experience, ability to work in a foundry, age up to 35.
• Molder – Primary/Middle level education, minimum 5 years molding experience, practical foundry experience, age up to 35.
