Assistant Manager HR

About the role

The HR Assistant Manager supports the HR Manager in daily human‑resource operations, ensuring smooth coordination across recruitment, employee relations, performance management and compliance. This role acts as a bridge between management and staff to foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Recruitment & Staffing: assist in manpower planning, coordinate job postings, screening, interviews, onboarding and maintain recruitment records.
• Employee Relations: address employee queries on HR policies, support grievance handling, disciplinary processes and promote engagement.
• HR Operations: maintain employee records, HR files and HRIS data; assist with attendance, leave and payroll coordination.
• Performance Management & Training: support appraisal cycles, identify training needs, coordinate programs and track development plans.
• Compliance & Policies: help implement HR policies, ensure labour‑law compliance, support audits and statutory documentation.
• Reporting: prepare HR reports, MIS and presentations, analyse data to aid decision‑making.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• 3–6 years of experience in HR operations or generalist roles.
• Strong knowledge of HR practices and labour laws.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Organisational and time‑management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with HR software / HRIS.
