Assistant Manager IT Procurement

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Manager IT Procurement to lead end‑to‑end sourcing of hardware, software, licences and related services. The role works closely with IT and business teams to translate requirements into effective purchasing strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle procurement of IT hardware, software, networking equipment, peripherals and professional services.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to define specifications, quantities, budgets and delivery timelines.
• Identify, evaluate and onboard qualified local and international vendors, distributors, OEMs and service providers.
• Prepare and manage RFQs/RFPs, obtain quotations, conduct commercial evaluations and recommend suppliers based on price, quality, warranty and total cost of ownership.
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, SLAs and other commercial conditions.
• Create and process purchase orders, track orders through delivery, installation and invoice/payment coordination.
• Monitor vendor performance, manage contract renewals and support software/subscription renewals.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities, vendor consolidation and contract optimisation.
• Maintain procurement records for audit compliance and provide regular reporting on open POs, savings and risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Procurement, IT, Finance or a related field.
• Relevant procurement or supply‑chain certifications (e.g., CIPS) are a plus.
• Proven experience in IT procurement, RFQ/RFP and PO processes.
• Strong commercial negotiation and vendor‑management capabilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for reporting and analysis.
• Experience with ERP/procurement systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, Coupa or Ariba.
