Assistant Manager / Manager – Product Development

About the role

UBank is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager or Manager to join its Product Development team in Islamabad. You will be responsible for designing, enhancing and managing banking products that deliver superior customer experiences while supporting the bank’s strategic growth.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, enhance and manage banking products throughout their lifecycle.
• Conduct market research, customer analysis and competitor benchmarking to identify product opportunities.
• Prepare business cases, product programmes, operating procedures and documentation.
• Coordinate product launches from concept through implementation and post‑launch support.
• Gather business requirements and work closely with technology teams on system enhancements and product automation.
• Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT), validate system enhancements and support production deployments.
• Monitor product performance, recommend enhancements based on feedback and analytics, and provide branch support.
• Liaise with Business, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Marketing and external vendors to ensure successful implementation.
• Ensure products comply with regulatory, internal policy and Shariah requirements where applicable.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Banking, Economics, Marketing or related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience for Assistant Manager level or 5–8 years for Manager level in product development, digital or consumer banking, or Islamic banking.
• Professional certifications in Product Management or Islamic Banking are a plus.
