Assistant Manager OHP – Research & Archiving

About the role

The Citizens Archive of Pakistan is seeking an Assistant Manager OHP to join its Research and Archiving Team in Karachi. The role focuses on documenting oral histories, conducting interviews, transcribing material, and supporting fieldwork that enriches Pakistan's cultural heritage.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct and record oral history interviews across diverse communities.
• Transcribe audio recordings and manage field notes.
• Catalogue interviews, photographs, and other archival items.
• Maintain and update archival metadata for digital collections.
• Collaborate with project partners to ensure accurate preservation of historical narratives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in History, Journalism, Anthropology, Sociology, Communication, Public Policy, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• At least one year of relevant experience preferred; fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu.
