Assistant Manager – Procurement (Food Manufacturing)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager – Procurement to lead sourcing, vendor management and procurement operations for a food manufacturing business. The role ensures cost‑effective purchasing, timely import documentation and smooth shipment follow‑ups while complying with company policies.

Key responsibilities

• Manage sourcing, procurement processes and supplier/vendor relationships.
• Identify, evaluate and negotiate with suppliers on pricing, payment terms and contracts.
• Prepare and administer purchase orders according to business requirements.
• Monitor market prices, supply‑chain activities and overall procurement costs.
• Handle import documentation, shipment tracking and customs coordination.
• Coordinate with banks for letters of credit, payment documentation and SWIFT confirmations.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with internal departments, freight forwarders and clearing agents.

Required profile

• MBA in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• 5–7 years of relevant procurement or supply‑chain experience.
• Strong background in sourcing, negotiation, vendor management and import operations.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Dynamics 365.
• Advanced use of MS Office applications.
