Assistant Manager Projects – Mechanical

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager Projects – Mechanical to lead and support mechanical engineering initiatives across our plant. The role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and coordinating projects while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, budget, and timeline requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and monitor mechanical engineering projects from initiation to completion.
• Coordinate activities with internal stakeholders, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
• Supervise mechanical installations, modifications, upgrades, and commissioning.
• Review engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
• Monitor progress, address technical challenges, and ensure safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare reports, cost estimates, schedules, and progress updates for management.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project efficiency and reliability.
• Contribute to plant expansion, modernization, and infrastructure improvement projects.

Required profile

• B.Tech or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 8‑10 years of experience in mechanical projects, plant engineering, industrial construction, or maintenance projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and project execution methodologies.
• Proven ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation.
• Understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, and contractor management.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
