Assistant Manager Quality Assurance

About the role

Coats is seeking an Assistant Manager Quality Assurance to ensure product quality across raw material inspection, in‑process testing, and finished‑goods verification. The role supports continuous improvement, ISO 9001 compliance, Oeko‑Tex® certification, chemical safety, and waste‑reduction initiatives while upholding health, safety, and 5S standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise inspection and testing of incoming, in‑process, and outgoing goods; maintain accurate data in SAP QM.
• Identify and implement process improvements for quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.
• Conduct yearly customer feedback surveys and provide technical support.
• Log and resolve all customer, internal, and vendor complaints in SAP QM.
• Manage ISO 9001 documentation and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Renew Oeko‑Tex® certification and act as Chemical Officer to control restricted substances.
• Oversee waste‑reduction activities, including conversion factor control and rounding profile analysis.
• Ensure compliance with health‑and‑safety guidelines and maintain 5S housekeeping.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Textile Science or Chemical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of Quality Assurance experience in textile, chemical, or manufacturing environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS and audit processes.
• Familiarity with Oeko‑Tex® certification and chemical compliance requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
