Assistant Manager – Sales (Curriculum Textbooks)

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – Sales to champion the adoption of our press’s curriculum textbooks across schools, colleges and higher‑education institutions. The role involves proactive field work, building and sustaining relationships with prospective, current and former customers, and driving revenue growth within an assigned territory.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell curriculum textbooks to educational institutions, ensuring target adoption rates.
• Visit prospective, existing and past customers to nurture relationships and expand the contact base.
• Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
• Maintain compliance with the press’s policies, standards, and values.
• Provide regular sales reports and market feedback to senior management.

Required profile

• Relevant master’s degree and strong academic background.
• 4–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in educational publishing.
• Excellent English communication, interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Strong time‑management skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel as required.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
