About the role
CCL Pharmaceuticals is seeking an Assistant Manager Taxation to oversee direct and indirect tax compliance across its entities. You will ensure accurate tax computations, statutory filings, and timely payments while supporting audit readiness.
Key responsibilities
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance, including computations, withholding, statutory filings, reconciliations, and timely payments in line with applicable laws and company policies.
- Support tax audits and proceedings, maintain accurate tax records, coordinate local and international tax requirements, and contribute to effective tax governance and audit readiness.
Required profile
- Managing tax compliance with accuracy and strong attention to statutory deadlines.
- Interpreting tax regulations and applying them effectively to business transactions.
- Performing complex tax reconciliations and identifying discrepancies or compliance risks.
- Managing tax documentation and maintaining accurate, audit‑ready records.
- Coordinating effectively with internal stakeholders, external advisors, and tax authorities.
- Supporting tax audits, assessments, notices, and regulatory proceedings.
- Identifying tax compliance risks and applying structured problem‑solving to resolve issues.
- Managing multiple compliance requirements across entities and jurisdictions.
Required skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce or related discipline.
- 4–6 years of experience in taxation and statutory compliance.
- CA Finalist or ACCA part‑qualified (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Income Tax Ordinance, 2001, provincial sales tax laws and withholding requirements.
- Hands‑on experience with FBR, PRA and SRB portals.
- Experience in income tax withholding, sales tax, statutory filings, advance tax computations and tax reconciliations.
- Experience supporting tax audits, assessments, show‑cause notices and tax documentation.
- Exposure to international taxation, cross‑border transactions and transfer pricing documentation (advantage).
- Experience maintaining tax transactions and records through ERP systems (preferred).
