Assistant Manager – Technology for Education

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Technology for Education will support the design, testing and scaling of technology‑enabled learning solutions for low‑resource K‑12 contexts. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, you will translate research insights into practical interventions that improve educational outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct secondary research on global and local ed‑tech practices and synthesize evidence to inform program design.
• Support the design of tech‑based education interventions, including problem definition, stakeholder mapping, user‑needs analysis and Theory of Change development.
• Develop clear documentation for new products or pilots, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
• Coordinate pilot roll‑outs, provide training, communicate with field teams and troubleshoot initial implementation issues.
• Facilitate testing and iteration of prototypes, capture field insights and translate them into actionable improvements.
• Work with data, curriculum and technology teams to ensure smooth execution and effective monitoring.
• Prepare weekly field updates, monthly reports and assess project readiness for scale.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Curriculum, Training, Tech, M&E) and external partners to ensure coherent and feasible interventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Computer Sciences, Education or a related field.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in education, ed‑tech, research, instructional design or related areas.
• Experience with ed‑tech product management and familiarity with low‑resource school settings is preferred.
• Strong curiosity, growth mindset and interest in language acquisition and low‑resource schooling contexts.

Required skills

• Strong research and analytical abilities, including literature review and evidence synthesis.
• Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
• Exposure to monitoring, evaluation or impact measurement frameworks (knowledge of RCTs a plus).
• Excellent written communication and ability to create clear, structured documentation.
• Operational and project‑management skills for dynamic, iterative program cycles.
