Assistant Manager - Travel Management

About the role

The Assistant Manager – Travel Management will oversee end‑to‑end domestic and international travel arrangements for employees, management, healthcare professionals and business groups. The role ensures seamless coordination of conference and event travel while maintaining compliance with company policies and budgets.

Key responsibilities

• Manage travel logistics including flights, accommodation, transportation, visas and on‑ground support for individual and group itineraries.
• Ensure all travel activities adhere to corporate policies, approval matrices and budget constraints, monitoring spend and identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with Travel Management Companies, airlines, hotels, visa agencies, destination management firms and other service providers to secure commercial terms and seamless service delivery.
• Oversee visa processing and immigration requirements by liaising with embassies, consulates and authorized service partners.
• Maintain accurate travel records, approvals, invoices and booking data for audit, compliance reporting and financial reconciliation.

Required profile

• B.A. degree with 4–12 years of relevant experience in travel operations or event management.
• Strong knowledge of travel logistics, conference travel coordination and visa/immigration processes.
• Proven ability to manage travel budgets, negotiate commercial terms and optimise travel‑related costs.
• Sound understanding of travel policies, compliance requirements and vendor management practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications and effective English communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for stakeholder and vendor interaction.
