Assistant Manager - Utilities

About the role

Al Hamd Textile is looking for an Assistant Manager – Utilities to ensure reliable utility operations and uninterrupted production at its Karachi facility. The role involves overseeing boiler, chiller, compressor, generator, air and water systems while coordinating with production teams.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee boiler, chiller, compressor, generator, air and water utility systems.
• Plan and supervise preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment operating reliably.
• Monitor energy consumption and identify efficiency improvement opportunities.
• Manage the utility team, assign work and ensure tasks are completed properly.
• Maintain utility records and reports, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
• Coordinate with other departments to support continuous production and ensure availability of spare parts and consumables.

Required profile

• Hands‑on knowledge of boiler, chiller, compressor, generator, air and water utility systems.
• Experience planning and supervising preventive and corrective maintenance in a factory environment.
• Ability to monitor energy use and propose practical efficiency improvements.
• Team coordination skills, including assigning work and following up on execution.
• Strong record‑keeping and reporting abilities with attention to safety compliance.
• Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe and organized utility area.
