Assistant Professor – Biomedical Engineering

About the role

Riphah International University seeks an Assistant Professor in Biomedical Engineering to join its Lahore campus. The successful candidate will contribute to teaching, research and student mentorship, driving academic excellence at the intersection of engineering and healthcare.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in biomedical engineering, ensuring content aligns with current industry standards.
• Develop and update curricula to satisfy accreditation requirements and emerging academic trends.
• Supervise student research projects, theses and dissertations, fostering innovation and critical thinking.
• Conduct high‑quality research in areas such as medical imaging, biomaterials, biomechanics and bioinstrumentation, and publish in recognized journals.
• Manage and maintain biomedical engineering laboratory facilities and equipment.
• Prepare and submit research grant proposals to secure external funding.
• Participate in departmental committees, accreditation processes and industry collaborations.

Required profile

• PhD in Biomedical Engineering or a closely related field from an HEC‑recognized institution.
• Minimum six years of relevant teaching, research, or industry experience.
• Strong publication record and experience supervising laboratory work.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
