Assistant Project Manager – Karachi

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will support on‑site supervision of construction and maintenance projects in Karachi, ensuring that work is executed according to design, contract specifications and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and post‑construction activities on site.
• Ensure projects progress smoothly, stay within budget and meet quality benchmarks.
• Prepare and review Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Services (BBS).
• Conduct land surveys, soil testing and other quality‑related tests as required.
• Verify contractor invoices against TCF drawings, specifications and standards.
• Report cost and scope variances and prepare punch‑list items after field inspections.
• Prepare timely reports for the line manager on any changes in scope or cost.

Required profile

• Minimum 3‑10 years of experience in building construction, depending on academic background.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials and safety practices.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction‑management software.
• Leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
