Assistant Project Manager – Karachi

About the role

The Assistant Project Manager will supervise on‑site construction and maintenance activities in Karachi, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to quality standards. You will act as the liaison between the engineering department, contractors and the field team.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily construction and post‑construction activities, ensuring compliance with design, contract and TCF standards.
• Prepare and review BOQs, BBS and land‑survey reports for assigned districts.
• Conduct soil testing, quality inspections and generate punch‑list reports.
• Monitor project progress, report cost and scope variances, and follow up on contractor delays.
• Verify bills, validate compliance with drawings and specifications, and record site measurements.
• Prepare timely reports for the line manager on any scope or cost changes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, BTech or DAE.
• Minimum 3‑10 years of experience in building construction, depending on qualification.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Knowledge of soil, topography and structural design.
• Quantity surveying – BOQ & BBS preparation.
• Ability to read architectural, structural, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Construction methods, materials and safety practices.
• Proficiency in MS Office and construction management software.
• Soil testing and other quality‑related testing.
