Assistant Quality Checker – Surgical Instruments

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Quality Checker to join B&H Surgical Instrument in Sialkot. The role involves inspecting raw materials, in‑process components and finished surgical instruments to ensure they meet strict dimensional, functional and metallurgical standards before shipment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, dial gauges and height gauges.
• Inspect surface finish, polish quality and detect burrs or pitting.
• Conduct functional tests on forceps, scissors, retractors and other instruments.
• Carry out in‑process and final inspections across forging, machining, heat‑treatment, grinding and polishing stages.
• Verify compliance with ISO 13485, CE Marking and FDA requirements.
• Oversee rust and corrosion testing (boil, copper‑sulfate, salt‑spray).
• Maintain inspection logs, batch reports and Non‑Conformance Reports.
• Support CAPA implementation and monitor calibration schedules of measuring equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Quality Inspector or QA Assistant in surgical instrument manufacturing.
• Intermediate/Diploma in Mechanical or Biomedical engineering or equivalent technical trade.
• Strong knowledge of surgical stainless‑steel grades (AISI 410, 420, 304, 316L).
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, CE Marking and FDA regulatory standards.
