Assistant Sales Manager - Exhibitions

About the role

An exhibitions team is looking for a dynamic, results-oriented Assistant Manager – Sales. The ideal candidate has proven B2B sales experience in the solar, renewable energy, power or related industries and can build strong client relationships while driving exhibitor and sponsorship sales for leading international exhibitions.

Key responsibilities

• Generate exhibitor and sponsorship sales for solar and renewable energy exhibitions.
• Identify, approach and convert new business through cold calling, networking and client meetings.
• Manage and grow relationships with existing exhibitors, sponsors and industry stakeholders.
• Prepare sales proposals, quotations, contracts and presentations.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
• Conduct market research to spot emerging trends and potential clients.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and CRM database.
• Coordinate with marketing and operations teams for successful event execution.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences and networking sessions.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field.
• 3-5 years of B2B sales experience in the solar, renewable energy, power, electrical or exhibition industry.
• Strong network in the renewable energy sector is an added advantage.
• Willingness to travel for client meetings and exhibitions.

Required skills

• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
