Assistant Sales Tax Analyst

About the role

The Assistant Sales Tax Analyst will join the Corporate GL team of the Perseus Operating Group at Contour’s Karachi office. Working closely with senior analysts, you will support the US Sales Tax function and gain exposure to GST/HST, VAT and Australian GST compliance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Perform day‑to‑day sales tax tasks for North American businesses within the Perseus Group.
• Conduct sales tax nexus studies, assess product taxability and implement changes required by new indirect‑tax legislation.
• Run regular control reports to verify that journal entries are posted accurately.
• Update tax rates, reconcile tax accounts and assist with data analysis for filings.
• Support senior team members in preparing and filing US sales and use tax returns, as well as GST/HST, VAT and Australian GST matters.
