Associate Manager Procurement

About the role

The Associate Manager Procurement will lead strategic and operational sourcing of Opex and Capex materials, focusing on technical machine spare parts and service contracts for a pharmaceutical environment. You will work closely with internal teams and global suppliers to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost‑effective procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with local and international vendors.
• Oversee day‑to‑day procurement activities, including sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing goods and services.
• Analyze cost structures, identify savings opportunities, and improve process efficiency.
• Draft, review, and manage contracts ensuring legal compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Operations and user departments to streamline procurement workflows.
• Prepare and obtain approvals for RFQs, purchase orders and vendor agreements.
• Coordinate with clearing agents, freight forwarders and port authorities for import clearance.
• Ensure all procured items meet pharmaceutical quality standards and technical specifications.

Required profile

• MBA in Supply Chain Management or a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 4–6 years of technical procurement experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong knowledge of local and international procurement practices.
• Excellent communication, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical material specifications.
• Effective time‑management and multitasking skills in a fast‑paced setting.
