Audit Associate – Internal Control & Financial Reporting

About the role

The Audit Associate supports the Bank’s Internal Control System (ICS) and Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) reviews. You will conduct audit fieldwork, document findings, and prepare workpapers in line with Group Internal Audit governance and Global Internal Audit Standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct off‑site and on‑site reviews of the Bank’s ICS/ICFR, focusing on control execution, certification, risk classification, documentation, timeliness, and escalation.
• Assess whether assigned controls have been performed, evidenced, and certified according to prescribed requirements.
• Review control documentation, audit trails, and supporting evidence to verify effective implementation and compliance.
• Participate in audit engagements using report analysis, system‑based reviews, data interrogation, and other techniques to identify gaps and improvement areas.
• Execute audit assignments within agreed timelines and in accordance with approved methodologies, policies, and professional standards.
• Prepare audit workpapers, observations, and reports that accurately reflect results and support conclusions.
• Provide independent assurance and recommendations to enhance risk management, governance, and internal control processes.
• Maintain effective communication with management and stakeholders throughout the audit lifecycle.
• Assist senior audit staff with departmental initiatives, special reviews, investigations, and other delegated assignments.

Required profile

• Ability to conduct thorough off‑site and on‑site control reviews.
• Strong analytical skills for data interrogation and system‑based assessments.
• Proficiency in preparing clear audit workpapers and reports.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management throughout audit engagements.
• Capability to work within defined timelines and adhere to audit methodologies and standards.
