Automation Engineer – Machine & Process Automation

About the role

Watt N Volt is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, develop and commission machine and process automation solutions for a range of industrial clients. The role blends hands‑on engineering with on‑site coordination and occasional support for international exhibitions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and commission machine and process automation systems.
• Program PLCs (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley or similar) and configure HMI/SCADA interfaces.
• Develop and deploy energy‑monitoring systems for industrial customers.
• Read and produce electrical schematics and control‑panel wiring diagrams.
• Coordinate with panel‑manufacturing and installation teams on‑site.
• Troubleshoot faults and optimise running automation systems.
• Support technical presentations at international project exhibitions when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechatronics or Industrial Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial automation or control systems.
• Strong PLC programming skills (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block).
• Experience with SCADA platforms, HMI design and field‑bus protocols (PROFIBUS, Modbus).
• Ability to read and produce electrical schematics and panel wiring layouts.
• Comfortable working both in the office and on client sites.
