Backend Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join a global leader in IT services on a contract basis. This remote position focuses on building and maintaining high‑performance backend systems that power scalable applications for worldwide users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for a global audience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with an emphasis on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience creating and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Strong understanding of both SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control using Git.
