Backend Software Engineer (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our client on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while building and maintaining high‑performance backend systems for global users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for a worldwide audience.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following industry best practices.
• Debug and resolve production issues with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
