Bookkeeper / Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a Bookkeeper / Accountant to ensure day‑to‑day financial accuracy and operational discipline across Nysonian’s multiple entities and marketplaces. The role will act as a key partner to the Finance team, handling transaction recording, reconciliations and reporting in a fast‑growing, high‑growth environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and oversee accurate recording of daily financial transactions using platforms such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Maintain and reconcile general‑ledger accounts, including bank and credit‑card statements.
• Manage end‑to‑end accounts payable and receivable processes, from invoice issuance to vendor statement reconciliation.
• Reconcile online marketplace revenues (e.g., Shopify, Amazon) against internal records.
• Support payroll administration by maintaining payroll records and assisting with processing.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements for monthly, quarterly and annual close cycles.
• Enforce compliance with accounting standards, financial regulations and internal controls while keeping fully digitized documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration.
• 2–4 years of progressive bookkeeping or general accounting experience in fast‑paced environments.
• Hands‑on expertise with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks or Xero.
• Strong understanding of core bookkeeping principles, general‑ledger management and reconciliation processes.
