Business Continuity Planning Manager – Microfinance Bank

About the role

The Business Continuity Planning Manager will lead the design, implementation and upkeep of the bank’s Business Continuity Management (BCM) framework. The role ensures that critical micro‑finance operations can survive disruptions and recover within the timelines set by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the BCM policy, Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs) in line with SBP regulations.
• Conduct Business Impact Analyses (BIA) to identify critical functions and threats specific to Pakistan’s micro‑finance environment.
• Plan and execute bi‑annual BCP drills, including tabletop exercises for senior management and live fail‑over tests for branch operations.
• Coordinate with the IT department to test disaster recovery and ensure data recovery within defined Recovery Time Objectives (RTO).
• Serve as Secretary to the BCP Committee, managing meetings, reporting and audit‑trail documentation.
• Deliver training and awareness sessions for branch managers and operations staff on emergency response procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 8–10 years of experience in banking or financial services.
• 3–4 years of hands‑on experience in Business Continuity Planning.
