About the role
The Business Development Engineer will drive growth by spotting new business opportunities and building strong client relationships within the construction and industrial sectors. Working closely with technical and commercial teams, the role supports the full tendering cycle, prepares proposals, and helps secure new projects for the organisation.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential business opportunities in construction and industrial markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Support the preparation of tender documents, proposals and bid presentations.
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure technical feasibility of offers.
- Contribute to the acquisition of projects by tracking leads and following up on opportunities.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform business strategy.
- Prepare cost estimates and feasibility studies in collaboration with engineering.
- Assist in contract negotiations and finalisation.
Required profile
- Strong technical understanding of construction and industrial processes.
- Excellent communication and client coordination abilities.
- Commercial awareness with a focus on supporting organisational growth objectives.
- Ability to coordinate cross‑functional teams and manage multiple client interactions.
- Proactive attitude towards achieving sales targets.
