Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive growth across Pakistan’s fintech, digital payments, telecommunications, banking and consumer finance sectors. You will build and nurture relationships with key industry players, identify partnership opportunities and support the execution of strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders in fintech, digital payments, telecom, banking and consumer finance.
• Leverage industry networks to support business development, strategic partnerships and day‑to‑day operations.
• Establish effective working relationships with digital wallet and mobile financial service providers.
• Identify potential business opportunities and strategic partners, and assist in negotiations and implementation.
• Collaborate with internal teams to understand operational requirements and coordinate with external partners.
• Use market knowledge to resolve operational and business issues efficiently.
• Monitor developments in fintech, telecommunications, digital banking and lending, providing market and competitive insights.
• Support additional business development and strategic initiatives as needed.

Required profile

• Pakistani candidate with strong knowledge of the local business environment.
• Professional experience in fintech, digital payments, telecommunications, banking, digital banking or consumer finance.
• Preferably long‑term experience with Easypaisa or JazzCash in operations, business intelligence, business development or related functions.
• Experience at major telecom or technology firms (e.g., Jazz, Zong, Ufone, Telenor, Huawei, ZTE) is a plus.
• Prior sales or business development experience in telecommunications, banking or related sectors is preferred.
• Established professional networks within Pakistan’s fintech, payments, telecom or financial services ecosystem.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Fluent in English and Urdu.
