Business Development Manager – Sales

About the role

EFU Life Assurance Ltd is seeking a Business Development Manager in Sales to lead growth of individual and group life insurance products within the Crescent Zone of Karachi East District. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on expanding market share, building strong client relationships, and driving revenue through strategic sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities for life insurance solutions.
• Set, monitor, and achieve sales targets for both individual and group products.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations to prospects and partners.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis to inform sales strategies.
• Coach, mentor, and motivate the sales team to meet performance goals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate sales reports and pipeline data.
• Collaborate with internal teams to tailor solutions to client needs.

Required profile

• Proven sales, negotiation and business development experience, preferably in financial or insurance services.
• Strong client relationship management and networking abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Experience in market research, opportunity analysis and strategic planning.
• Leadership experience with a focus on coaching and ethical performance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with life insurance products such as unit‑linked plans, savings, protection and pension schemes.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems.
• Experience using sales reporting tools.
• Competence in basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
