Business Development Manager – Steel Sector (Pakistan)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth across Pakistan’s steel market, focusing on hot rolled coil (HRC), cold rolled coil (CRC), galvanized iron (GI), and pre‑painted galvanized iron (PPGI). The role involves identifying high‑value opportunities, building relationships, and expanding our market share.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting and technical consultation to contract negotiation, closing, and long‑term account management.
• Analyse market dynamics, import regulations, competitor positioning and regional demand to create localized sales strategies.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics and Finance teams to navigate customs processes and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Develop strategic partnerships with existing clients while aggressively acquiring new business to exceed sales targets.
• Represent the company at major Pakistani trade events and industry associations to boost brand visibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering or a related field.
• Fluent English for business communication.
• Minimum 3 years of international steel trading experience with a proven record in import/export operations.
• Strong negotiation abilities, commercial acumen and an established network within the Pakistani steel industry.
• Self‑starter, comfortable with frequent travel and occasional regional trips.
