Business Development Officer

About the role

TransLinguist is seeking a proactive Business Development Officer to drive lead generation, sales, and revenue growth for its AI‑powered multilingual communication platform. You will work closely with senior management, account teams and clients to expand market presence and ensure high‑quality service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute lead‑generation and sales strategies across global industry segments.
• Identify and engage key decision‑makers, nurture client relationships, and retain and grow revenue.
• Coordinate marketing campaigns (email, calls, lead identification) and present insights to directors.
• Manage RFI/RFP processes and vendor registration in partnership with account managers.
• Analyze market competitiveness, prepare reports, and conduct market research to uncover new opportunities.
• Facilitate pre‑ and post‑sales processes with customers, production, and finance to ensure satisfaction.
• Create and improve proposals, maintain customer contacts and mailing lists.
• Gather client feedback, address queries and complaints promptly, and develop retention strategies.

Required profile

• University graduate.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant business development experience.
• Proven ability to work with senior management to align sales strategies.
• Consistently achieve and exceed objectives with strong planning, analytical and organizational skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables, macros, lookup tables).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint.
