Business Development Representative - Financial Investments

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with opportunities at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia; its clients include startups and established businesses in SaaS, MarTech, FinTech and EdTech. As a Business Development Representative for a fast-growing FinTech startup, you will work remotely on the intersection of large language models and live financial markets, helping build research terminals, financial APIs and trading tools. You will be engaged as an independent contractor.

Key responsibilities

• Run high-volume outbound prospecting campaigns, targeting around 100 cold calls per day.
• Identify, qualify and engage key decision-makers in the trading, investing and financial services sectors.
• Book and manage around 20 qualified meetings per month to keep the sales pipeline strong.
• Support revenue generation with a target of 4 closed deals per month.
• Maintain CRM hygiene and track outreach activity in Smartleads and Microsoft Teams.
• Work with leadership to refine sales messaging and optimise outreach for technical financial products.

Required profile

• 1-4 years of proven experience in an SDR, cold calling or outbound sales role.
• Strong background in FinTech, financial services or financial investments.
• Demonstrable interest in or knowledge of trading, investing and financial markets.
• Exceptional English communication skills and comfort handling complex objections.
• High-volume mindset, self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote, fast-paced startup.
