Business Intelligence Consultant – Remote (Excel)

About the role

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Consultant with deep Excel expertise to design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and automated reports for a global technology leader. This remote, contract position focuses on turning business requirements into reliable, data‑driven solutions that support executive decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build interactive Excel dashboards using pivot tables, charts, slicers, and advanced visualisations.
• Develop automated workflows with Excel macros and VBA to streamline data processing.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather, clarify, and translate reporting requirements.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all Excel models.
• Provide training and ongoing support to end‑users on Excel tools and best practices.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret business data and deliver actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting findings to non‑technical audiences.
• Attention to detail and commitment to delivering error‑free reports.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel – advanced formulas (VLOOKUP, INDEX‑MATCH, SUMIFS), pivot tables, data validation.
• Excel macros and VBA for automation and custom functions.
• Familiarity with data sources such as SQL databases, CSV files, or ERP systems.
