Butcher (Chicken Specialist)

About the role

Meat Galleria is looking for a dedicated Butcher (Chicken Specialist) to join its Lahore facility on a full‑time basis. You will be responsible for handling, cutting, deboning and portioning fresh poultry to meet company standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify the quality of fresh chicken deliveries.
• Prepare cuts, debone, trim and package poultry products.
• Organise, label and manage inventory while monitoring product freshness.
• Maintain cold‑chain storage and ensure strict hygiene and safety controls.
• Coordinate with sales and operations teams to fulfil bulk and custom orders for restaurants, hotels and retailers.
• Interact with business clients to advise on cuts, usage and product handling.

Required profile

• Solid practical experience in butchery and meat processing, especially poultry cutting and portioning.
• Knowledge of poultry and meat handling standards, food safety and quality control.
• Ability to provide courteous, professional service to internal and external stakeholders.
• Familiarity with handling other proteins (seafood, red meat) is an advantage.
• Previous experience in a butcher shop, meat‑processing facility or food‑service environment preferred.
• Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform demanding tasks safely.
• Basic numeracy for weighing, portion control and order documentation.
• Willingness to follow SOPs, health and safety guidelines; food‑safety training is a plus.
