Centre Head (Operations, Academics, Inclusive Program & Daycare)

About the role

MindCraft Explorers is a Montessori school and daycare centre in Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, for children aged 2 to 6, offering an Inclusive Program for children with autism, ADHD, speech delay, Down syndrome and other learning differences, supported by on-site occupational, speech, behavioral and remedial therapies. The centre is looking for an experienced early childhood education leader to run the centre day to day, covering operations, academics, the Inclusive Program and daycare, with responsibility for keeping every child safe and every family felt heard.

Key responsibilities

• Operations: manage daily operations including staffing schedules, attendance, facilities, inventory and vendors; implement and monitor school policies, health and safety and child protection procedures; oversee fee collection follow-ups, admissions and records; prepare monthly operations and progress reports for the CEO
• Academics: lead the Montessori curriculum across Playgroup, Toddlers and Reception; supervise, observe and mentor teachers, review lesson plans and hold classroom observations; plan teacher training and professional development; oversee assessments, progress reports and parent-teacher meetings; support preparation for Cambridge Early Years standards
• Inclusive Program: lead the program and coordinate with OT, Speech, Behavioral and Remedial therapists; oversee intake assessments, IEPs and progress reviews; train shadow teachers and staff on inclusive practices; counsel and support parents of children with special needs
• Daycare: manage routines, meals, nap times, hygiene and supervision; ensure safe pick-up and drop-off and accurate daily logs; keep parents informed
• Parents and community: act as main point of contact for parent concerns; support open houses, Play Date events and admission campaigns; build a warm reputation in the community

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, Psychology or a related field
• Montessori certification (AMI, AMS, IMC or equivalent) strongly preferred
• At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education, including at least 2 years in a coordinator, headmistress or centre management role
• Sound knowledge of inclusive education, IEPs and working with children with special needs; daycare or early years management experience is a strong plus
• Excellent communication in English and Urdu, and strong organizational, leadership and parent counseling skills
