Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

About the role

ICAP, Pakistan’s national professional and regulatory body for the accountancy profession, is seeking an experienced finance leader to join its Executive Leadership Team as Chief Financial Officer. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the CFO will act as the principal financial advisor to the Council, Executive Committee and related committees, guiding the Institute’s long‑term financial sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the Institute’s financial strategy, translating strategic goals into sustainable financial plans.
• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, cash‑flow and investment management for reserves, endowments and designated funds.
• Ensure the integrity of financial reporting, accounting operations, taxation, payroll governance and statutory compliance.
• Strengthen governance through internal controls, enterprise risk management, audit coordination and procurement oversight.
• Drive digital transformation of finance functions, including ERP optimisation, process automation and modernisation of financial systems.
• Manage a high‑performing finance team and maintain relationships with banks, auditors, regulators and investment advisors.

Required profile

• ICAP member with at least 10 years post‑qualification experience in finance, accounting, treasury, planning, budgeting, taxation and investment management.
• Minimum 4 years in a senior finance leadership role responsible for organisational financial strategy and governance.
• Proven track record in financial reporting, statutory compliance, treasury operations, external audits and stakeholder management.
• Experience reporting to Boards, Audit Committees or Executive Committees is a strong advantage.
