Chief Resident Engineer (CRE)

About the role

Rehman Habib Consultants is seeking an experienced Chief Resident Engineer to lead construction supervision and execution for a large‑scale dam and water resources project in Balochistan, Pakistan. The role involves overseeing site activities, ensuring compliance with designs and specifications, and coordinating with all project stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction activities for the dam/water resources project.
• Ensure execution complies with approved designs, specifications, drawings, and contract documents.
• Manage and coordinate the site supervision team, including engineers and inspectors.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality standards, and site safety.
• Review contractors' schedules, method statements, technical submissions, and construction plans.
• Verify interim payment certificates, variation orders, and project documentation.
• Coordinate with client, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, regulatory, contractual, and project requirements.
• Monitor timelines and support completion within approved schedules and budgets.
• Prepare and submit progress reports to the client and senior management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; PEC registration preferred.
• Minimum 20 years of relevant professional experience in construction supervision and management of dam/water resources projects.
• Prior experience on projects in Balochistan is preferred.
• Strong leadership, project management, technical coordination, and communication skills.
