Cleaner – Short‑term Project

About the role

The International Rescue Committee is launching a short‑term, nutrition‑focused project in Multan. We are looking for a reliable Cleaner to support daily hygiene and cleanliness in our facilities, ensuring a safe environment for staff and beneficiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Straighten rooms, clean floors, carpets, surfaces and fixtures according to schedule.
• Maintain and restock cleaning supply closets; request additional supplies as needed.
• Clean bathrooms and eating areas daily to uphold hygiene standards.
• Empty waste baskets, prepare for trash pick‑up, and dispose of equipment boxes or containers.
• Sweep walkways, external stairs and outdoor areas at least once a day and remove litter.
• Clean windows, refrigerators, fans, air‑conditioners, lighting fixtures, and wash carpets as required.
• Provide laundry and kitchen support when assigned.
• Offer emergency or spot‑cleaning assistance as requested.
• Maintain backup water supplies and prepare rooms for meetings or activities.
• Identify and report maintenance issues such as plumbing, lighting, or equipment problems.

Required profile

• Minimum education: Matriculation (high school).
• At least two years of relevant cleaning experience, preferably in an office, NGO, or similar environment.
• Good personal health and hygiene.

Required skills

• Demonstrated cleaning skills and ability to use hygienic materials effectively.
