Cloud Cost Optimisation Manager (IaC Subject Matter Expert)

About the role

The Mashreq cloud platform team is looking for an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Subject Matter Expert to lead cloud cost optimisation across the organisation. You will partner with finance, IT, engineering and business units to design and implement cost‑effective cloud strategies while ensuring high availability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and drive cloud cost‑optimisation strategies and policies.
• Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to monitor and reduce cloud spend.
• Manage cloud incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Ensure cloud resources adhere to governance, security and high‑availability standards.
• Provide technical guidance on IaC, automation and multi‑cloud best practices.

Required profile

• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience with Azure cloud.
• Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, automation tools and multi‑cloud environments.
• Relevant Azure or cloud certifications.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, planning and organisational skills.
• Commitment to continuous learning and ability to build positive interpersonal relationships.
