Cloud Engineering Instructor

About the role

Edversity is seeking a hands‑on Cloud Engineering Instructor to lead its 12‑week Cloud Engineering program. The role focuses on teaching complete beginners how to perform real‑world cloud‑engineer tasks across major cloud platforms, with an emphasis on project‑based learning and AI‑assisted tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live, hands‑on cloud engineering sessions (3 sessions per week, 2 hours each).
• Design and run practical labs covering networking, compute, storage, IAM, Terraform, containers, CI/CD, monitoring, and AI workloads.
• Integrate AI‑copilot tools for infrastructure‑as‑code generation, troubleshooting, and LLM workload deployment.
• Review weekly lab submissions, IaC repositories, quizzes, and reports, providing constructive feedback.
• Guide learners in building portfolio‑ready GitHub repositories with READMEs, architecture diagrams, deployed applications, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Support students with system‑design fundamentals, mock technical interviews, and career guidance.

Required profile

• Experienced cloud practitioner who has built and operated infrastructure in production environments.
• Ability to teach complex cloud concepts through hands‑on, project‑based methods rather than lecture‑only.
• Strong communication skills for mentoring beginners and explaining architecture to non‑technical stakeholders.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (GCP) – primary platform for the program.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure – for comparative teaching.
• Infrastructure as Code with Terraform.
• Container technologies: Docker and Kubernetes (Google Kubernetes Engine).
• CI/CD pipeline creation and management.
• Cloud networking (VPC, firewalls) and IAM.
• AI tooling such as Vertex AI and AI copilots for code assistance.
• Version control with GitHub.
