Compliance Manager – US MSB & AML

About the role

WhizPay.io is building the future of global payments and needs a senior compliance professional to lead its US Money Services Business (MSB) and AML program. This remote‑first position will shape and scale the compliance function across fintech, crypto and payments services.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure alignment with US banking, fintech, payments, crypto and MSB regulations, including FinCEN, BSA/AML and VASP requirements.
• Design, implement and continuously improve AML/KYC policies, procedures and technology stacks.
• Manage sanctions screening processes and integrate appropriate compliance tools.
• Operate transaction monitoring and crypto risk monitoring systems to detect and mitigate compliance risks.
• Collaborate with product, legal and operations teams to embed compliance into product design.
• Engage with payment providers, banking partners, crypto exchanges, regulators and other stakeholders.
• Monitor regulatory changes and emerging risks to keep the compliance posture current.

Required profile

• 5+ years of compliance experience in fintech, crypto, payments or regulated financial institutions.
• Direct experience with a US Money Services Business and strong knowledge of FinCEN and BSA/AML requirements.
• Deep understanding of US banking, payments, fintech, crypto and MSB regulations.
• Proven expertise in AML/KYC, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring and compliance technology.
• Experience working with payment providers, money transmitters or crypto exchanges.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, remote‑first environment.
