Concept Artist

About the role

Textured Lab, a creative digital studio offering online solutions from visual design to web development, is hiring a Concept Artist. The artist creates the visual concepts behind characters, environments and key scenes for digital projects, working closely with designers, developers and other artists. This is a full-time, on-site position based in the Karachi division.

Key responsibilities

• Create compelling visual concepts for characters, environments and key scenes
• Produce 2D art and develop character designs
• Create concept art for new ideas and build storyboards supporting narrative and interactive experiences
• Collaborate with designers, developers and other artists to keep visuals consistent with project goals and client briefs
• Refine artwork based on feedback and prepare assets for further production
• Maintain organized visual documentation

Required profile

• Strong foundation in 2D art and concept art, with a portfolio showing range in style and subject matter
• Proficiency in character design, including silhouettes, expressions, costumes and iteration of character concepts
• Experience with storyboarding and turning scripts or ideas into clear visual sequences
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and take constructive feedback
• Attention to detail, strong sense of composition, colour and visual coherence
• Relevant education in Art, Illustration, Animation, Game Design or equivalent professional experience
• Comfortable working on-site in the Karachi division and managing several projects and deadlines
